Chapter 10 reviews and ranks the different fuels that were tested in the XPAG engine. There are significant differences. This chapter is a must read for any classic vehicle owner.

Hi to all,

I have a rebuilt machine and only done 100 miles. I use premix 2 stroke oil but am unsure on what fuel i should be putting in. Can anybody help please?

As this is a motor bike and I guess is does a realatively high miles to the gallon, I suggest using the Anglo American oil storage fuel (R-Storage) (https://aaoil.co.uk/product-category/racing-fuel/storage-fuel/)

This is ethanol free, has a volatility curve that matches the fuel that was supplied in the 1970's so you do not have any storage problems. It was the best performing fuel used at Manchester.

Yes it is more expensive than pump grade fuel but in my view worth it for low milage vehicles like motor bikes.
